Google’s New SSL Encryption

With this whole big ordeal with facebook privacy, google is Beta testing a new SSL encrypted search. Basically, right now if you search for something, third parties like internet service providers and hackers, etc can see what you search for. But with the encrypted search they will not be able to see what you used as a search term. However, it stops there. Once you click on a website from the search results, third parties can determine which sites you went to and it wouldn’t be too difficult to figure out what you searched for.

Normal google search can be found at http://www.google.com/ but the new SSL encrypted search can be found at https://www.google.com/ so basically just add an S to the end of http

Do you think this help at all towards our privacy?
