Ok, finished week 3 of John Rhodes’ Juggernaut SEO Course. Once again he has delivered beyond expectation. Week 1 was alot about philisophy and how to think like a person visiting the site. Then week 2 started to dive into SEO tactics like keyword research and finding a niche worth looking at and tools that will help you get there. But week 3 dived deep into “good practices” for SEO and showed how to crush onpage SEO.

I learned some HUGE tips that really opened up my eyes at what I am doing wrong and how sometimes I try too hard for my lesser sites. One thing I learned is that with posts, you should include keywords in the title of course, the post-url (by using /%postname%/), but also the image name for the post (keyword-here.jpg), and also the image alt tag (alt=”keyword-here”). Using the main keywords with the images was something I totally overlooked. Something so simple but easily overlooked. I also have a bunch of websites to look over with helpful little tools. The Juggernaut SEO course has opened my eyes and made me realize I need to make some changes to my own blog!

John Rhodes delivers again and delivers in a very big way. Ohh did I mention the webinar was 6 hours!!! I loved every second. Check John Rhodes out if you get a chance, he’s got some great products and his email list is one of the few that I actually read. Stop lazily building your internet marketing career and ACT NOW. John’s got what ya need!

So I joined in on John S Rhodes 5 week course called the Juggernaut SEO. The first webinar was Wednesday and I have been on John Rhodes webinars before so I knew this was gonna be great, but man I was blown away.

Now I realized 1 hour in that I had received so much information, and I was sitting there just itching to start changin some of my websites. But, I did not think that the webinar was going to be 4 1/2 hours!! WOAH! This is serious stuff!

Forget fast cash, maybe a little fast cash but also long term cash
I repeat long-term cash. Setup your business to make you money month to month, and yes, internet marketing is a business. It’s the people who treat it like a hobby that don’t make any money. I could write an article a month or add to my blog once a month and be surprised at how I am not making money, but if you were at a job only applying 1 hour of work a month….do you really think you would last at that job?

The thing with the Juggernaut SEO 5 week course is that the lessons are about pleasing the human visitors, not the google bots. That’s right, this is an intense 5 week course that goes deep into SEO but the kind of SEO that actually makes your site useful. Not only that but we were taught how to think like the customer, to get into their mind, to be able to relate with them. This is something I don’t always do, but hearing it just kind of turned on the light in my head. The Juggernaut SEO week 1 webinar lit up that light in my head more times than I can count.

People only focus on SEO to make google happy, but they forget about making your human visitors happy. Learn what they want, learn their problems, stop trying to beat google and their thousands of PHD employees who change their strategies all the time. Useful content is key and will always help your ranking.

John really went over the top on this one and it’s only week 1. I will post more about this awesome Juggernaut SEO course as I go through it. Check him out to see the great things he is working on:

If your write content, whether articles, blogs, or general content for websites, it is absolutely important you know what your keyword density is. If it is too high google will actually view you as a spammer and penalize you. There are programs that do this for you but here is a simplified way on how to calculate keyword density in any article.

  • Write your article or webpage in Microsoft Word or something similar. Remember to use the keyword naturally and you can change tense as in change it to past tense.
  • Goto the toolbar and click on “word count”. This can usually be found under tools section. If you use 2007 it can be found down at the bottom of Word.
  • Take the number of words and write that down.
  • Go back to the toolbar under the menu option “edit” and click on “find”. Type in the keyword or phrase that you are trying to hit and click on “find next”. Count down how many times that keyword or phrase appears in your article or content and write that down.
  • Now open up calculator and type in the number of times your keyword or phrase appears in your content and divide or hit “/” that number by the number of words in your content.
  • A huge number will appear, multiply that by 100. The number you end up with is the keyword density of your content.
  • From there you can edit your content to reflect the right density you want. I see alot of people shoot for 1%-2% for articles going into eZine

Well hopefully this helps everyone so that they can calculate keyword density in their articles and get the traffic they deserve.

This post is dedicated to show you exactly how to create a Facebook fan page. Fan pages are really important for businesses nowadays. Even if you are just trying to market a simple eBook, this can be a key factor to exposing you that much more. The reason for this is that not only can people in Facebook “fan” your page and see updates but search engines can see the fan page and since you have links to your site, you gain a little bit of the facebook PR juice. This can’t hurt at all, it can only help!

Ok let’s start:

- Once logged in to Facebook, go all the way down to the bottom, at the footer and look for the link that says “advertising” and click on it.

- This will take you to a page that says “Facebook Ads”. There should be 3 graphics and the middle one should say “Deepen Your Relationship” and it should have a link under it called “Promote your Facebook page or website”, click on that.

- Now in the upper right hand corner below the home – profile – account section you should see a green button labeled “Create a Page”, click on it.

- Now, you will want to make sure you are in the “Official Page” section and choose between Local Business, Brand-product-organization, or artist, band, or public figure. Here I chose brand, product, or organization, filled out page name and click the checkbox stating I am the official representative, blah blah.

- Finally click on “Create Official Page”.

- Now you have a totally blank fan page. Gotta spruce it up though!

- The first option you have is to add an image, well I just have a basic product at easywpsalespage.net nothing that really needs a logo or picture exactly but I decided to go to an awesome place over at http://www.vectorportal.com/logos/. You need illustrator for this but it’s really nice in that these are stock and free to use. So I took a logo template, added some text and saved it as a .jpg and now I have a logo.

- So then, you will click on add info and include your website URL and basic info about your product or company – pretty easy stuff.

- It probably is on your info page after you click on “done editing” so to go back just click on the “Get started” tab.

- Now we have the option to “Post status updates”. For this I just put down a brief paragraph that the website is up etc and promote my product just a little more.

- Next option is to add a like box to your own website, this is optional but if you do… I didn’t change any of the option it asked and just click on “get code”. This code you will use to paste into your site. – You can save it into notepad for later use if necessary.

- The last two options are just extras, but that is pretty much it.

- On the lower left hand side you can click on “share” to share with your friends or you can click on “like” to have it show up on your profile.

Hope this helps everyone!

Please don’t hurt me Google but you have screwed over scroogle. Anybody not familiar with scroogle.org, it’s a proxy search engine that does not use cookies, no search-term records, and it’s access log is deleted within 48 hours. So basically it allows you to surf the net without service providers or companies to be able to tell where you are going or what you are searching for. It has been really popular among people using public computers and in jobs where they may monitor your internet usage.

Well Google has changed it’s search interface as of June 30, 2010. Scroogle scraper has fixed this problem in the past but this complex interface seems to totally stop Scroogle from producing any search results. Scroogle plans to try and contact Google this week, but if Google offers no solution, looks like it will be the end of our safe search buddy Scroogle Scraper.

(*PS. Sorry Google, I love you, don’t hurt my page rank!!)

Freemind is a free software tool that helps you to map out a flow of ideas or actions similar to visio but 100 times faster. I first found out about Freemind from one of Jason Fladlien’s webinars, which his webinars are always great. Well he used it to write an article on a subject provided by someone in the audience online and he had no knowledge of the subject at all. But he wrote 5 articles within minutes using Freemind.

I now use it for articles all the time so that I can map out the problems, story, and solution with a call to action. It really does help the day go by just a little smoother.

Thought I would post something today to give everyone some ideas on how to make money from home. Just a few links to some websites. I’m not affiliated with any of these so I don’t get any commission from you joining these sites.   :)

With this whole big ordeal with facebook privacy, google is Beta testing a new SSL encrypted search. Basically, right now if you search for something, third parties like internet service providers and hackers, etc can see what you search for. But with the encrypted search they will not be able to see what you used as a search term. However, it stops there. Once you click on a website from the search results, third parties can determine which sites you went to and it wouldn’t be too difficult to figure out what you searched for.

Normal google search can be found at http://www.google.com/ but the new SSL encrypted search can be found at https://www.google.com/ so basically just add an S to the end of http

Do you think this help at all towards our privacy?
